Total Mechanical Systems interview questions

I submitted my resume via indeed, they called me the next day for an interview. I went to the interview and I was interviewed by someone that doesn't belong in the area I was applying for, asked some basic questions and then he wasn't even sure what else to ask. He told me he would be recommending me for the second interview but never heard back. I called to follow up but was just told that that person was OOT and they'll be making a decision after he's back. I wish they had some basics manners and let me know if they have filled the position.
