I was contacted by phone by a Talent Acquisition manager. I was interviewed by 3 separate people who each had a set list of questions focusing on a particular aspect. The three aspects were technical proficiency; interacting with other departments and support staff; and change / technology proficiency.
My sense was that the decision had been made up front. Though I had great answers (in my opinion) to all the questions, the last interviewer did not seem to be focusing on what I said, which was frustrating. Why bring me in if it is just a rote "going through the motions"?
