After applying, I immediately heard back from a recruiter to schedule an on-site interview. I had to reschedule due to sickness, and the recruiter was more than accommodating when rescheduling. The on-site interview consisted of two 45 minute interviews, each with two interviewers in the room. The first was a non-technical, work history discussion with management, and the second was a technical discussion with the engineering staff. The technical discussion did not involve any coding exercises.
Overall, though I did not end up accepting the offer, the experience was a positive one. The team was friendly, and I appreciate them rescheduling my interview because I was sick. The only thing that struck me as odd was being asked Node.js questions for a Java-specific position; however, the team did say they were frequently incorporating new technologies into their system.
