I applied through a recruiter. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at US Air Force (Aurora, IL) in May 2010
Interview
Hiring and interviewing all takes place through recruiters. Be prepared to give intimate details about your life as they need them for fitness and security screenings. Know what jobs you'd be willing to accept before going to MEPS. Do not lie at any point during this process, if your recruiter encourages you to leave out information do not listen to them. If it comes out that you left out information and it causes issues down the road you are the one on the hook for fraudulent Enlistment which is a federal crime.
