After completing the Armed Forces Aptitude Test, candidates will be screened by both an Air Force recruiter and personnel specialists. Accepted applicants will also be required to complete a medical physical. Many positions also require an extended background check and a security clearance investigation. Maintaining a clean record during the entire process is critical to acceptance.

Interview
Well you gotta go to a recruiter. They will give you most of the info you need to make it to Basic Training, Having a clean record helps...No felonies. You must have a High School Diploma or GED. After that is a Medical screening and a background check. Then they have you sign your enlistment paperwork and work out when you will be leaving for Basic. That's when the real adventure begins.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at US Air Force (Birmingham, AL) in June 2011

Short. need high school education. Follow-ups with your recruiter are a must. You have to be pro-active to get in. If your recruiter isn't getting you in, go to another recruiter, like one who actually wants to work.
