      Infantry Captain Interview

      12 Apr 2013
      Anonymous employee
      West Point, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at US Army (West Point, NY)

      Interview

I was commissioned through a service academy, rather than through a recruiter, per se. The process for admission to this 4-year college/experience is physically, mentally, and emotionally rigorous. Admission is exclusively limited to those who have been top performers during high school and early adulthood. The limitations continue as you approach commissioning upon graduation. Joining the infantry is a choice, but not an easy one to make.

      Question 1

Are you willing to commit the best years of your life to a rugged, demanding lifestyle that is potentially damaging to your relationships and will most certainly put your life at risk?
