I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at USAA (Tampa, FL) in Jan 2014
Interview
There was a 2 part interview process. First there was a phone interview with recruiter then in person with 2 managers or at least 1 manager and a potential candidate for manager (to help their skills.) Interviews are long and they are looking for a lot of detail in your responses. VERY stark contrast in interview styles between managers. Eric Aranda was very difficult, whole others like Mark Norris made experience more enjoyable.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to make a tough decision
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at USAA (Phoenix, AZ) in Oct 2014
Interview
Star questions were used to evaluate behaviors, decision-making, and judgment. These are the typical star questions. These questions are not yes or no; they make you think about your past situations and what your though process was when you made your decisions. They are fair questions about job skill and decision-making ability. Friendliness and sincerity go a long way. Offer was fair.
