I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Unilever (Bengaluru) in Sept 2013
Interview
I received word from a friend about an opening at HUL's Bangalore R&D Centre and was asked to forward my resume. Once I was shortlisted for the interview, my first round was telephonic, and I was asked some technical questions revolving around research I had conducted as a student. Subsequently I received communication from HR asking me to come down to Bangalore for a second round with senior management. Communication from everyone at the company was, as expected, professional and polite at all times. Follow-ups over e-mail and phone were continuous. Only one glitch was that the on-site interview was cancelled once at the last moment and scheduled for the next day, which I later got to know was a communication failure from the HR. The second round interview was also good. This time they asked questions which tested research acumen and technical knowledge both, with a few hypothetical situation based questions, which also demanded to be answered with a reasonable level of quantitative accuracy.

Question 1
If you were given the freedom to pursue any project independently, what would you do, how would you do it and why?
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Unilever (London, England) in June 2018
Interview
Two telephone interviews, with a final face to face interview. This was a seamless process, however the only down side was the length of time it took overall. However the wait was worthwhile.
Good very supportive, 5 people panel, very structured and honest approach. They genuinely want to hire good candidates and wiling to go the extra mile for that. Very good experience. They are not there to show that they are better than you but interested in you and what you know.
I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Unilever
Interview
Hindustan Unilever came to our university to hire Interns. For Chemical Engineering (3 rd Year)
They had a CV shortlisting which was then followed by a Group Discussion (Case Study), and then they had two rounds of interview.
The Interviewers were Technical Heads as I had applied for the R&D Position.

Question 1
Various technical Questions were asked, which were very trivial and only aim was to test the way the person thinks, that is to judge the thought process of the person.
Other than that the questions were pretty normal HR type.
