I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group in May 2012
Interview
Interviewed with several recruiters and other people in HR. I was promised raises and bonuses by them that never happened. I was also promised that all of my travel time would be included in the 40 hour work week but the company reneged on this later. I was promised that I would have all holidays off but found out later that this only means 8 hours (and I was scheduling my availability as 10 hour days) so I had to take PTO or schedule availability on a day that I wouldn't normally work to meet my 40 hour availability requirement. Never interviewed with anyone in the healthcare field. Onboarding process was fairly straightforward with needing license, etc. Do not go through an actual credentialing process like other places I've worked.

Question 1
None of the people that interviewed me were in the medical field so they went by a "script" and then recorded my answers. Therefore, they couldn't answer my questions regarding the position and focused on making sure that the all the questions on their questionnaire were answered (more like a check list than an interview).
Initial recruiter screening very easy and straightforward. Met with manager and had some scenario questions. "What would you do with a patient in this situation". Manager was encouraging and helpful. Pleasant interview experience.

I applied online. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group in July 2020
Interview
First met with Recruiter whi asked a few questions. Then was sent email arranging phone interview with regional manager for LA area. Thought it was strange, as the position is in the Pacific NW. The Manager asked questions about dealing with difficult clients in their homes, was I afraid of dogs, ect.
I asked how much time is given to commute between scheduled clients, how are client appointments given. Explained that traffic in this area could be reached slow. She said that you would give clients a fifteen minute window of time for arriving for their gome visit. When I pushed her for a more realistic clarification of what kind of scheduling info patients are told she said that when she was going to patient homes, ( before becoming a Manager, I guess) she would call patient the night before and tell them they are first:second/third on the mornings or afternoon visits scheduled.
She didn’t seem to like my asking her for more real world explanations of their Home visit scheduling scenarios.
