I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Unum in Sept 2021

I interviewed at Unum
Interview
simple & straightforward; intro telephone rounds followed by onsite interview round with several different interviewers; quick from beginning to end; HR very clear and quick throughout the process and tries to match your timelines as best as possible
The interview process was pretty quick. I had a screening on a Tuesday and in the interview we scheduled my second for Friday. The people were very supportive and honest throughout the process. The phone screening was with a recruiter, the second was with three associates. The associated created a great environment to be yourself. I then took a leadership potential test. After I was passed on to the final round. For the final round I created a bio and powerpoint to present on the final Assessment Day, which consisted of 3 interviews: a behavioral interview, case study, and presentation. The case study was easy.

Question 1
Why are you interested in Unum and why the PDP? Common behavioral questions geared towards leadership experiences and working with others - working with someone you disagree with
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Unum (Portland, ME) in Oct 2019
Interview
The interview process was pretty rigorous for a program that's considered geared towards college grads, but that's because it's a highly competitive program that intends to mold you into a company leader after completion of the program.
1. Recorded video interview. Basic questions of why you want the job, leadership styles, etc. You have two attempts to record your answers. I found out the next week I was moving on.
2. Level 2 interview with staffing consultant and two current PDP associates. Behavioral-based around your leadership experience and other relevant job skills. Have several examples ready - don't feel afraid to use experiences outside of work. School and sports can work here. The end of the interview is a 15 minute case study. I found out within 2 business days that I was moving on.
3. Leadership/IQ test. Practice aptitude tests for the IQ portion, but the main point of this is for the interview panel to get a baseline of your leadership style. These results do not disqualify you. They are used in your final interview.
4. Assessment day. You travel to one of the large office headquarters with a handful of other candidates to have a half-day of interviews. In this step, you are not competing against other candidates, you are essentially competing against yourself. 3 rounds of 40 minute sessions: behavioral interview (questions based on your leadership test results), presentation (you are given a prompt about 1 week ahead of time to prepare), and a case study. The case study is relevant to an actual business scenario the company faced and you are asked for your recommendations. I would consider familiarizing yourself with the company and products as much as possible and also feel comfortable analyzing simple data sets. I found out the same day that I was being offered a position.
