I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at UserTesting
Interview
The process took a few weeks.
- Started with a recruiter call. Even though they found out they can't reach my pay grade, they wanted to proceed with my candidacy (making me think they will get somewhat closer to it).
- First technical round: kid stuff (just know some OO basics)
- Second technical round: kid stuff (basic Javascript questions)
- Culture fit round: some interviewees creeped me out during this round (immediate rejection on my end).
- Meet with the manager. Never seen candidates gets this level in other companies got rejected.
Advice to others: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UserTesting (Madrid) in Feb 2026
Interview
The process was easy to follow and respectful with my time as I didn't need to wait before getting useful feedback. The information was transmitted clearly and any questions were answered sync or async. It was a good experience.
You usually watch a video and have a set amount of time to record your answers. The questions will either appear on the screen or the employer may have recorded them in advance. In a pre-recorded interview you will not be speaking to anyone. You will not have any visual clues from an interviewer to encourage you

Technical Screening: Usually, the first round involves a technical screening. This can be a phone interview or an online coding test. The focus is on foundational skills in algorithms, data structures, and basic coding proficiency. It’s a good way to identify if candidates meet the technical baseline.
