I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Verizon (Rancho Cordova, CA) in Oct 2012
Interview
1st phone interview is fairly basic and reviews your application and resume (be very specific about dates, as I was warned that if the dates do not match exactly with the background check, you will not be offered the position). 2nd phone interview is more situational questions where they ask you to describe a SPECIFIC instance, the action you took in that one instance, and the resulting action. (i.e., Describe a time when you had to tell a customer "no..." or Describe a time when you had to deal with an irate customer...) Remember: Use a specific situation (i.e., This one time...).

Question 1
The entire 2nd interview is situational interview questions (i.e., Describe a time when...) which aren't particularly unusual, but you must have a different instance for EVERY QUESTION and be very specific. Your responses should be quick, concise, and to the point, so have your 3 bullet points (brief situation background, action you took, and what happened as a result) ready to fire off immediately.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Verizon (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2026
Interview
The interview was conducted virtually. It was for the customer service position. Mostly I was questioned about how I would handle various scenarios, for assisting clients. I was asked some real world examples and asked to handle them.

Question 1
How would you handle an angry or disgruntled customer?
Lengthy and the paperwork is extremely confusing to fill out and submit. Thank you. But other than that really nice people. They hire through a 3rd party called Rose International…. Very helpful people
Unprofessional interview, and unfair. Being bilingual and many years of customer service experience they decided to pass due to many years of experience. The interviewer also looked unorganized and was bias.
