I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Syracuse, NY) in June 2011
Interview
The hiring and interview is the same as all big business now. 2 interviews over the phone and then a store interview with one of the area managers. All large corporations do this but its very impersonal. There is no way to follow up after an interview. You're always waiting to hear back and left in the dark about the whole process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They have a very structured interview process it seems. More like a cue card for managers and HR reps to go through instead of getting a feel for how the person is in a real life scenario. They do a lot of, "tell me about a time when" questions. I understand it has to do with your reaction and quick thinking but seems a little robotic in the interview process.

The interview lasted about 45 minutes, and the questions were based on my knowledge of the brand, technology in general, behavioral styles, also what if scenarios and her views of the culture

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Verizon in Sept 2021
Interview
There were three parts to my hiring process. 1. The recruiter called me and asked me questions. 2. I spoke to the Assistant Manager. They asked me standard questions and we role-played a standard sale. 3. I did an in-person interview with the General Manager. We also did a role-play as well. BE PREPARED FOR THAT.
