Borderline negative experience going through Visa Talent Acquisition. While I understand time management isn't typically the forte of technical recruiters, Visa has a lot of room to improve. Be prepared to keep your job search going while attempting to coordinate with Visa.
Timeline:
Recruiter emailed me to set up phone screen for following week.
Round 1: enjoyable phone screen with a lead SE, some technical questions based on experience listed on resume.
Takes 4 business days to hear back from recruiter that I will move on to next round (HackerRank) and to also set up times for final round interviews for the following week. Strange to not wait for HackerRank results before setting up final round...
Round 2: HackerRank; fairly simple for this role, with many MCQ's. Not as hard as what I read Software Eng. HackerRank's are like. *Never heard anything about my HackerRank results from Visa.
Round 3: 3 hours of Skype interviews with 3 team members. Purely technical with some simple whiteboarding. Went well AFAIK, all positive feedback in the moment. No interviewer was aware of hiring time frame and could only leave me with a 'hope to talk to you again soon'.
Then..... radio silence. Nothing from the recruiter for nearly 2 weeks, even after requesting a status update. Almost never a good sign. Eventually I got an automated rejection email, which is far better than nothing, but hurt after over a month of correspondence and waiting. What I can say, If you have an offer elsewhere, consider taking it if you find yourself in the dark with Visa.
