I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Visa Inc. (Foster City, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
The interview was surprisingly straightforward, with just an initial phone screen, an in person interview with my manager, and then his manager. It was as if they'd already made their decision before my arrival
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
General questions - describe your background, highlighting any areas you think relevant to the role. My manager was really focused on his 'problems' needing resolution and basically we had a discussion around those.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Visa Inc. (London, England) in June 2024
Interview
One interview with team lead and a director. Fairly standard contractor interview for a role requiring niche systems experience,
Teams call with one of the interviewers on cam, one not (not very professional!)
Phone interview with the hiring manager. Interviewer clearly did not read my resume and had completely different expectations from what I had described for my experience. I'm not sure if he even skimmed or glanced at my interview as he did not seem to know my name.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Visa Inc. (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2023
Interview
Started with a simple phone interview. Next stage was developing a card strategy and presenting it to two employees that would ask questions. Presentation involved outside research, potential mockups, and recommendations.
