I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Cheyenne, WY) in Aug 2022
Interview
They called me within two days of submitting an application online and stressed that the job applied for temperatures reach from 32° to -20° and I could be lifting 5lbs to 150lbs above my head for up to 16 hours which in a day could include a total weight of 40 thousand pounds to 150 thousand pounds. The pay differs from job to job r regarding shift and environment. I was asked to “interview” on the shift I prefer. When I came in I was seated in their break room which while had many amenities felt like a break area for an oil rig or northern boat fishing operation a manager greeted me within 15 minutes of checking in and walked me around in a bright vest. While the manager was gauging my speed of pace and awareness we paced through several doors on the cold side. The area was bigger than most warehouses but felt like an ups or fedex hub with the movement of vehicles and structure of employees. While nothing about the job looked relaxing or easy the manager described what accuracy safety and performance meant to the building. While walking back to the break area the manager asked if it looked like a good fit and had me seated while discussing fit ability with I assume is hr. I then had hr sit me down in a room and I saw that I was rated from an online survey from the application process as high on able to perform or be hired column. I was asked to take a urine drug test within 24 hours and two days later called back on when to begin orientation which they have weekly.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Walmart (Gas City, IN) in June 2019
Interview
The interview is more along the lines of a physical evaluation. That’s really easy. All you do is move a 1lb, 5lb, 10lb and 20lb crate form the ground to a table about 10 feet away for 5 minutes. Other then that just a normal interview.
