I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Bloomington, MN) in June 2010
Interview
Walmart advertised on job boards. I then applied on their website which was user friendly. They called me shortly thereafter. I was invited to attend a meeting of potential hires At the meeting, they informed us of the opportunity, potential advancement, benefits and expectations. We met with HR managers individually. About 3 days later, they called and set up face to face interviews with store management. Within a week, they called and gave me the decision to be hired.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The most difficult question was concerning how to handle irate customers that refused to accept the resolution to their problem.
applied online. phone call from manager who asks few questions on the phone then invites to irl interview then ask few more questions then phone call few days later to offer job.
Automated video interview, answer questions with a prompt. The questions are all basic questions that would typically be asked in a hiring recruiter screen. Didn’t seem very difficult and was very straight forward to complete.
It was pretty standard for the industry. I was asked about my prior experience, current goals, and opportunity for upward mobility at the specific store and at the broader organization.
