I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Walmart
Interview
A bit disorganized, but honestly not that bad. Candidates should stay on top of what's going on if they want to move this forward.
Multiple phone interviews, and a remote face to face interview, before a final on-site panel interview.
They had a great panel and collaborative approach for UX candidates - seems like they had some strong leaders who got involved with evolving the hiring process.
The mood always felt very corporate and robotic, but the individuals I met seemed like they meant well. This is Walmart, not a start-up after all.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Walmart (Belmont, CA) in July 2012
Interview
1st round of interviews consisted of a series of interviews with the hiring manager, future team mates, the hiring manager's manager, and a few other people. Brought back for a second round and interviewed with another hiring manager and potential team mates. Also had a design exercise and review. If no one shows you around the building or where you might be working, it's probably a bad sign.
