Interview
TL;DR: I would be open to other roles potentially in the future, but I'm definitely not going to consider joining the Site Merch team again.
Scheduling:
Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn, we had initial 1/2 hour call about the role, and then a 10 minute case interview a few days later.
- Was scheduled for a series of onsite interviews for 2.5 hours for behavioral interviews and an hour-long case interview.
The recruiter was friendly, but couldn't answer anything about the company goals or team goals, even though they recruited specifically for that team. Also they were constantly running late.
The on-site interviews were way too short. Each except the case were only half an hour, and I had time either to answer the questions from the interview or ask my own. I would have much preferred an hour with everybody so that I could dig into what their experiences at Wayfair were like.
Across the board, when I asked everyone about the team goals and Wayfair's goals, I got non-answers that weren't really consistent. That was a huge disappointment as apparently they are trying to double the team this year, but couldn't tell me what the goal was besides to increase capacity.
Also, for the skills they're looking for and the amount of experience I have, it seemed like they were really not paying market rate.

Everyone at Wayfair who I interviewed with were very nice and welcoming. It is important to know your excel functions well.

The process was very quick. Make sure to be very prepared for behavioral questions and technical questions like excel functions and pivot tables. You will meet several people within the team, and they are usually very approached and helpful

Interview
The process went pretty well, an assessment day with 3 back to back interviews was well organized. There was a big delay in giving the results. That was the main problem.
