      Trainer Interview

      5 Feb 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair

      Interview

I applied for a customer service rep and as a trainer. After scheduling the phone interview for the customer service rep, I was cancelled on a few times (and I had to reschedule myself once since I was sick and couldn't talk). When I sent an email asking about alternative times for the phone screening (since I am employed), I never heard back. I was contacted for a 30 minute phone interview for the Trainer position. I was asked about my experience as a teacher. The interviewer seemed disinterested in what I had to say and wasn't very enthusiastic. I sent an email afterwards thanking her for her time, reviewing my qualifications, and asking about next steps. I was doing my best to secure a second interview and invigorate some enthusiasm since I felt as if I was boring the interviewer. I never received a reply. I got a rejection email a more than a month after I interviewed and a week after training was supposed to start. It was really disappointing since I was so excited about Wayfair and wanted to start a career with them. In the end I felt as if I wasn't even valuable as a customer service rep despite having related experience and a business degree.

      Trainer Interview

      22 Oct 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Brunswick, ME
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Wayfair (Brunswick, ME) in Dec 2017

      Interview

First I had a screening interview with a recruiter, then a longer phone interview with the hiring managers. They asked pretty early about my salary expectations and said they will not be able to meet my expectations. I think that was one of the reasons why it didn't go so well.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Describe past experiences related to this job. What are your salary expectations? How would address adult learning theory in your trainings?
