I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zendesk (Madison, WI) in June 2013
Interview
The interview process with Zendesk was quick, efficient, and thorough. One thing about the process that made me very happy was that I was updated on what would be happening and when. The people I talked to were receptive to questions and seemed more than happy to answer them. There were four interviews in total - 3 phone and 1 in person with a panel.
After each of the interviews, I received information about the next steps in the process either the same day or the next day, except for after the final interview, which took a few days (as is expected -- it's the final step before a decision is made).

Question 1
None of the questions were exceptionally hard -- they were pretty straight forward. That isn't to say that they were easy either -- they did require thought.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Zendesk (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2014
Interview
The initial interview after speaking to the recruiter was a 30 minute phone interview to assess my experience,
Then I was invited to a 1:1 at their office with their head of HR, which was very pleasant and informal. No skills questions, just them trying to get a general feel of the candidate's personality and motivations.
Then I was asked to prepare a presentation of the product/company and a short demo to the head of support in the US in a meeting conference and given a few pointers based on the 1:1 interview.
I was then informed by the recruiter that I sadly wasn't selected for this position and that he would get back to me with feedback.
He hasn't and the position has since then been re-advertised on their website.
I re-applied, addressing their HR contact directly to re-affirm my interest in the position and request feedback.
Today I received a generic short message saying that there was no suitable position available.
Judging from other interview reviews, this unfortunately seems to be common practice within this company.
