I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zendesk (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2019
Interview
A recruiter or sourcing recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn.
I had a good interview with a recruiter in house.
I had another interview but with the hiring manager.
Another recruiter knowing I am in the process reached out to me to talk and indicated I was on hold. I was very confused, as I was scheduled on site.
Right before the day of the interview I had an onsite interview, clearly very confused however it seemed the staff I talked to had no idea - to interview/to not interview - what happened?
Rejected.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Zendesk in July 2021
Interview
I was very disappointed with how Zendesk treater me as a job candidate. After two rounds of interviews, where they seemed to express excitement about my candidacy, they completely went dark on me. I followed up with the recruiter twice but they didn't even have the decency to respond to someone who made the time and effort to speak to them. What's ironic is that they sent me a survey about my experience as a candidate where rated them low on their responsive, yet didn't do anything about it. Why send a survey when you aren't going to action on the feedback you get? Anyway, this was a very negative experience for me and I would tell folks to be wary of interviewers sounding super excited about their candidacy only to drop them like a hot potato.
