I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Zendesk (Melbourne) in Oct 2013
Interview
I'm really happy with how this went. I was never shut in a room for hours with a piece of paper or some sort of aptitude test. There were a lot of stages but each stage felt worthwhile and was about a different aspect of work life.
There were several coding tests, one about architecture, another about a simple programming exercise. There was a lot of emphasis on team work and personality. There were several interviews with decision makers. They were clearly making an effort and taking the time to get things right and even before I got an offer I really appreciated the genuineness of how it all worked.

Question 1
The hardest question by far was an open ended question on architecture of a real time analytics sort of system. It was less about getting a right answer and more about showing how you think and how well you can respond to new information and consider issues that might turn up.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zendesk (Dublin, Dublin) in Apr 2026
Interview
It was a four-round interview:
1. HR screen call
2. Hiring manager
3. Technical
4. One more behavioral interview
After just the HR recruiter's call, they assigned a meeting for the hiring manager. One day before, they cancelled it.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Zendesk (Tallinn) in Jan 2026
Interview
First interview was with HR rep, second one with a technical team lead. There was supposedly a third interview with another technical manager or something, but it seemed they had already a strong candidate in mind, so after second interview I immediately got an email that they had gone the other way.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Zendesk
Interview
The interview process was straight forward. The process moved quickly across the different stages of the hiring process. Questions were related to the job and it's requirements instead of being generic questions
