I applied for the Digital Experiences position at Zendesk Mexico. I had a quick phone interview with HR, and then they passed me on to the manager. He seemed to really like my profile and said I had the necessary skills and experience.
They didn’t contact me for two weeks, and when they finally did, they told me I had moved on to the next stage, which consisted of three interviews with three different people. The interviews were very light and easygoing, with really friendly and polite people. There were no technical questions, just simple behavioral ones. With each interview, I felt more confident.
In the end, after forgetting about me for another three weeks, they sent me a generic email saying they had chosen another candidate.
I felt really misled and disappointed—it was a lot of anticipation and hours of study and preparation lost. But there’s nothing to complain about; they probably went with an internal candidate or someone they already knew.
