I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at lululemon (Minneapolis, MN) in Mar 2010
Interview
I sent my resume in online and was called the same day to schedule a group interview. Went to the interview knowing it was based on age and not experience. We were asked goal oriented questions and ones that should be answered in a community based way. We were told we would be called later that day regarding a second interview in the next couple days. My call never came, so thinking it rude not to at least call I called and left a message just asking if I misunderstood the time frame or if I was out of the running...still no call and a week later I received an email saying I was not chosen and when I tried to reply with "Thank you for letting me know and best wishes on your continued success w/ lululemon" I was blocked from replying! Couldn't believe the immaturity..noone is going to beg you for a job!! Disappointed and don't even want to go to the store again!!

Question 1
If you had all the money in the world and seven days what would you do?
Group interview with multiple candidates and the manager and assistant manager. You get asked a question by the manager and everyone takes turns answering the questions and then repeat until the interview is complete. Then they call you for round two.
Personality based interview centered on empathy and being an overall nice person that is understanding and open minded. Wait times vary for callbacks and positions are often applied to by a lot of people.
The interview focused less on technical retail knowledge and more on personality, communication, teamwork, customer experience, and alignment with the company values and culture.
The questions required thoughtful and personal answers, so preparation definitely helps. It felt like they were looking for authenticity, self awareness, and strong people skills rather than scripted answers.
Advice for candidates: prepare real examples from previous experiences and practice speaking naturally on camera. Energy and communication style seem very important in the process.
