What your day could look like

As an Apprentice Painter, you'll play an important role in keeping healthcare environments safe, functional and welcoming for patients, staff and the community. From developing your trade skills to supporting essential maintenance works, you'll be part of a team that helps create spaces where care can thrive.

Every day, you'll contribute by:
Learning and applying painting and surface preparation techniques that enhance and protect health facilities
Working alongside experienced tradespeople to deliver high-quality maintenance outcomes across sites
Following safety standards and best practices to help create safe environments for everyone
Completing training requirements and keeping accurate records to support your progress and development

Completion of Year 10 (or equivalent) and readiness to undertake a trade qualification
Strong willingness to learn hands-on skills and complete formal training requirements
Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively within a team
Good communication skills and a reliable, proactive approach

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have completed pre-vocational training or have a keen interest in building a trade career.
