Creators Trove is a magazine documenting the creators shaping tomorrow.

I'm looking for my first full-time creative hire.

Not just a video editor. Someone who can take a story from raw footage to finished content across multiple formats and platforms.

We capture the people, ideas, and movements reshaping society. Through documentaries, interviews, photography, magazines, podcasts, and social content, our goal is to inspire and educate the next generation of creators to build a better world.

The Role

I have countless hours of footage that needs to be edited. This includes interviews/podcasts, mini-documentaries and behind the scenes vlogs.

Your job will be to take raw footage and turn it into an entire content output:
- Long form video
- Short form clips
- Taking transcribed interviews and using my photography to create carousels

To do this well, you'll need strong instincts for storytelling and an understanding of what makes a compelling video, clip, quote, or insight/moment worth sharing.

I'll be heavily involved in shaping the editorial direction at first, but over time I want you to take increasing ownership of the post-production process so I can focus on collecting new stories and growing the publication.

Requirements:

Technical:

- Strong Premiere Pro experience
- Comfortable with 4k multicam editing
- Comfortable working with Insta360 footage
- Able to colour grade Sony S-Log3 footage
- Understanding of audio mixing and cleanup
- Motion graphics experience is a bonus

Editorial:

- Strong instinct for pacing and storytelling
- Can identify interesting moments without being told
- Understands hooks, retention, and audience psychology
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfortable working from rough ideas and detailed instructions

Cultural:

- Deep interest in creators, media, culture, and influence
- Strong journalistic ethics and instincts
- Comfortable challenging ideas and contributing your own
- Creative taste is the most important.
