The Role
Due to recent growth in clients and repeat business opportunities, our QLD team is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with a passion for the Built Environment to be based on the Gold Coast!
Our team delivers a broad range of technically complex built form and civil infrastructure projects across the urban renewal, transport infrastructure, health, schools, and community sector.
As part of our Civil team in QLD, you will play a key part in
- Delivering various built form and urban development projects.
- Managing projects and delivery of engineering investigation, assessment, and design and construction management documentation across a range of sectors.
- Design of roads, bulk earthworks and drainage.
- Manage and communicate project requirements to sub-consultants, contractors, architects and developers.
- Multi-discipline project delivery by utilising a variety of civil design packages.
What we’re looking for?
We want you to take control of your career and successfully operate in a highly autonomous, yet supportive, environment with the following attributes:
- Ideally 7+ years of local experience working as a civil engineering consultant on built form projects.
- RPEQ Registration
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering
- Experience in preparing detailed design and documentation of roads, intersections, pavements, earthworks, and stormwater drainage.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time, whilst working autonomously.
- Understanding of local government regulatory frameworks and statutory compliance requirements.
- A strong grasp and consistent track record of using 12D is highly desirable
- Competent and independent use of other civil modelling software such as DRAINS, MUSIC, Autoturn and AutoCAD.
- Organise and coordinate people and work in a decisive manner.
- Excellent communication skills - able to speak and write clearly, concisely, and compellingly
- Creative problem-solving skills to continually finds ways to overcome challenges and obstacles
- Strong team ethic to work collaboratively across multiple offices.
- Handles interruptions, changes, and challenges
