What’s the opportunity?

This is more than a traditional plant operator role. As a Day Services Operator, you'll play a critical role in supporting some of the most important operational areas across our Processing Plant, including reagent handling and mixing, water treatment, tailings management and the gold room. Your contribution will help keep production running safely, efficiently and reliably every day.

Working a 5:2 / 4:3 residential roster near West Wyalong, you'll enjoy the stability of a lifestyle friendly schedule while contributing to an operation with a mine life extending to 2042. This is an opportunity to build broad processing exposure, develop valuable operational skills and become a key part of Cowal's continued success.

Based at our Cowal Operations and reporting to the Day Services Supervisor, you'll:

• Help maintain safe, reliable and uninterrupted processing operations across multiple critical plant areas.
• Drive operational excellence through strong housekeeping, process monitoring and adherence to metallurgical targets.
• Contribute to safe plant performance through equipment isolations, inspections and proactive management of process deviations.
• Support continuous improvement, operational efficiency and the development of safe work practices across the processing team

Does this sound like you?

• Experience in processing, water treatment, mining, manufacturing, agriculture or a similar operational environment
• A commitment to working safely and following procedures
• Experience using or exposure to plant control systems (DCS highly regarded)
• Competency with MS Word and Excel
• The ability to work independently and prioritise work effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Forklift ticket or willingness to obtain one (desirable)
• Previous gold processing experience (advantageous)
