There are too many problems to name, but they all stem from the two owners.
To summarize, there is zero organization or processes in place. Employees don't receive any training but are somehow expected to know everything, including information from before they were hired. Many people have attempted to introduce and implement processes but the owners don't seem to care, so nothing changes. The dysfunction is overwhelming.
The owners also have no investment in any of their employees or artists. They don't even know which artists are on their roster because of their lack of interest in anyone except people who have a lot of social media followers, as they see these people as bringing in more money. The "mentorship" they pretend to offer artists is completely nonexistent. This is a place your career will go to die, not flourish, if you're a young artist.
The best way to summarize Adolescent is as a place that takes advantage of young people who are looking for experience. They hire employees and sign artists who are gen z, queer, and/or BIPOC to help further their narrative to the outside world that they care about this generation and demographic, but to the people on the inside all they do is take advantage, bully, and gaslight. The way they operate and behave as grown adults is completely contradictory to the image they project and everything that gen z stands for.
They're aware of what is wrong with the company and are doing nothing about it to fix it or take accountability for the part they've played. Their own employees have unionized against them and even still they blame said union for their problems rather than take steps to listen and fix things, which is their responsibility as the owners.
