Pros

- Free lunch, wide range of training activities (when we still had a L&D team) - Some awesome, as well as bizarre colleagues.

Cons

[Employee Morale] Q1: Management says "tighten our ship to sail at breakneck speed" Q3: Employees are laid off at breakneck speed - Strange decision to expand office space, guesstimated at over USD1m a year, and conduct mass layoffs at the same time. - Mass hiring and firing, without compensation nor empathy. - Announces during townhall that our voice matters. Embraces and supportive of hybrid work model where people are most productive and collaborative 2 weeks later: Back to office on 4 day work week - [Compensation & Benefits] Claims to commit to pay for performance & total reward strategy - but pays below market rate bonus (if any this cycle) + no AWS - [Diversity & inclusion] Claims to value diversity & multicultural, but majority chinese in most managerial and leadership positions, some of which are not on merit, if you know what that means. - [Culture] Always making noise about improving culture, claims to value open and transparent communication. For obvious reason(s) these group of open people are no longer working in the company. - A boatload of surveys, feedback every quarter. Dodges difficult questions and takes selective action on the others - [Performance measurement] Uses OKR to measure but the needle shifts as soon as 1 week after goals are set. Promotions and increments are seldom based on performance.

Messy place with no sense of direction

Pros

- Many talented, creative and great employees. A great bunch to hang around and work with. - Hybrid model but soon to revert back to WFO daily as the cash strapped company prefers spending money on additional rental space (current space is not enough for full staff strength) - Free lunch in office ordered by a front desk office manager (who is it this time? Doesn’t matter since whoever’s in this role is set to resign every 3 weeks) - Absolutely conducive workplace environment with the wifi breaking down every single day

Cons

- Predominantly mainland Chinese. Singaporeans are second class and 98% are Chinese. Finding an employee of another race (Malay/ Indian/ Caucasian) is pretty much a game of “where’s Wally?” - Definitely not for the faint of heart. Get ready to be thrown into the deep sea with no proper SOPs nor clear direction from management - Management is highly insecure whenever it comes to competition from other BNPL players - Trust the management at your own risk - Employees are rewarded not based on merit, but on who’s carrying the bosses’ balls. The most questionable individuals get trusted to lead the company (into a total mess) - just because.

Pros

Growing company Fair benefits Marketing team is doing a good job getting the name recognised

Cons

Confluence is in chinese most docs are in chinese meetings are in chinese work chat is in chinese if you don't speak chinese you won't survive for long even chinese might not be able to get used to tech teams based in china, and their culture. There has been some level of brusqueness and rudeness seeping into the regional team from the chinese culture. you might suffer from verbal hazing (maybe it's better not to understand chinese)
