Excess Baggage of Atos India!

Pros

Long term Hybrid work from home. Cultural Diversity

Cons

This company suffers from extreme groupism, regionalism, and favoritism, especially among employees from companies that were acquired in the past, like ACS, Xerox, Siemens, Syntel etc. Managers from these companies are Excess Baggage for Atos India. Instead of integrating cultures, these legacy groups operate as closed camps that prioritize their own people over everyone else. Growth here has little to do with merit or performance. If you don’t belong to the “right” group or region, your chances of recognition, promotion, or meaningful opportunities are minimal—regardless of how capable or hardworking you are. Favoritism is openly practiced, and decisions are biased toward employees within these circles. The work environment feels suffocating and politically charged. Employees outside these groups struggle to voice ideas, advance their careers, or even get fair treatment. This has led to low morale, frustration, and disengagement among talented professionals who genuinely want to contribute. Leadership appears either unaware or unwilling to address these issues, allowing this toxic culture to continue unchecked. As a result, the company is losing good talent and holding back its own growth.

Pros

Half-yearly bonuses, 100% remote work.

Cons

No job growth unless you're an AI freak. Old technologies. All attempts to innovate are usually squashed or ignored. Useless managers, I can't even tell what my line manager's role is. No pay raises - even counter-inflation raises. My salary is the same it's been since I've started working here 4 years ago. In fact, it's actually LOWER, because the half-yearly bonuses are being cut down every year!.

Pros

Good work-life balance in many teams/projects. Stable salary payments and hybrid/flexible work culture are commonly mentioned by employees. Good learning opportunities with access to internal trainings and global projects. Suitable for experienced professionals wanting less pressure compared to some other IT service companies. Decent company culture and supportive teams in many projects.

Cons

Salary hikes and career growth can be slow. Bench period/project allocation issues are reported by some employees. Job security concerns due to restructuring and cost-cutting in recent years. Growth depends a lot on project availability and manager support.

Pros

Job stability: The company offers a stable working environment, which allowed me to build a solid 11-year career in IT support Colleague relationships: Good team dynamics and supportive coworkers who are willing to help each other Technical exposure: Opportunity to work with various clients and technologies, which helped build diverse troubleshooting skills

Cons

Career progression: Growth opportunities exist but advancement is very slow. After 11 years, felt limited in moving beyond the service desk analyst role Compensation: Salary and benefits packages are below market rate compared to other IT service providers in Malaysia. Annual increments are minimal Management inconsistency: Leadership quality varies significantly across teams and projects. Some managers are supportive while others lack proper guidance and communication Limited upskilling: Professional development and training opportunities are not proactively offered, making it challenging to acquire new certifications or skills

Pros

I really cannot think of any except when I left.

Cons

They will work you into the ground for the minimum wage. It honestly isn’t worth losing your dignity or your well being. They pay you as a level one although somehow, you are working at level 3. And they will put pressure on you like you wouldn’t believe. They employ “yes men and women” who would be considered under achievers in a normal working environment, but give them a centimeter of power and they act like killer bosses. People leave all of the time because they just cannot stand the bullying. There is no-one to turn to, no confident, but they pretend to help you with face to face interviews and feedback, just so their “concern” and “help” is documented under a cloaked platform of criticism. Mistakes were made when the company tried to be divided into two from a previous CEO and it sent the company into chaos as the share holders sold their shares, devaluing the company by billions. Now they have “a slicer”, a guy who seems to think by cutting staff numbers, he will impress the shareholders to help keep their heads above water and the French Goverbment appeased. But he is so far removed from reality and out of touch with reality, that it’s the bosses walking around with their clipboards and extended lunch breaks and coffee breaks that need sacking. It’s because of these untrained managers that the worker bees are falling in their numbers. The Queen Bee can’t make the honey without the worker bees. And to the clients who employ ATOS for their communications and digital services. End your contracts as soon as. You are being ripped off. To them - they don’t care about your customers, your staff members, your needs. All they want is a ticket raising and closing and the call ended. Beware of what you are paying for?! They honestly do not have your interests at heart - just your money!
