No pros to this "organization" except for some of the nice employees

Cons

The CEO Andrew is: - Demeaning and rude - Only cares about his bottom line, not his employees. - Overworks individuals - Pushes people down when they fall and they are trying to get back up - uses mean language and swearing towards others - doesn't really care about his clients like he says he does - Never polite - insults people left right and centre - Axiom Real-Time Metrics is: - Not supportive of personal growth - Doesn't give you a real contract unless you chase it - Bad employee support program - negative work culture - Gossip occurs daily - our PM team was very disorganized and rude - SOPs are not taken seriously - Expected to be on call 24/7 7 days per week

Fake Reviews - Terrible Management

Pros

Smart team of workers who are fun and supper polite (excluding "so called" executive management). Most Senior project managers are very helpfull with the limited time that they have. I do love my team and the studies that Axiom works on are quite interesting. Travel is possible for client meetings and some people even go to trade shows. Culturally diverse.

Cons

First off I would like to say that many of the positive reviews on Glassdoor are mostly if not all, fake. In one review labeled "Great Experience working in Axiom Real Time Metrics" and "Project Management Associate" posted on April 25th both look more like a job posting than anything else - Please check this out! At the "Global Meetings" they lie about statistics such as employee turnover, they think that their own employees are not smart enough to realize that these stats don't include the dozens of people who are fired while under contract each year. Andrew the CEO is a very manipulative individual who will threaten you, degrade you and make you feel small. He will publicly shame and then threaten to take your job away if you don't fix the mistake "by end of day". He will charm you on your interview and then from day one it will only go downhill. Their health insurance benefits are a complete joke for a technology company. Barely get any coverage and supplement with another insurance provider Axiom is a revolving door when it come to hiring and firing people. Everyone is hired on contract and it will take 6+ months to 1 year to get an actual full time position if you are lucky. The HR team means well but I would not trust them with personal issues, especially if they are with upper management. The HR team is completely controlled by the CEO and your private matters just wont be private. Work hours are extremely long, a lot of people are known for staying till 8, 9 or even 10 multiple times per week. The company gets away with this because it hires mostly young graduates who are eager to get experience and afraid of losing their job. I have done about many dollars in overtime this year alone, which of course is not paid, nor does the salary I get justify the amount of overtime. While on contract you must pay your own taxes, and you don't have healthcare coverage. Ensure that you get on the good side of your study team, this will make your life a little better.

Stockholm Syndrome

Pros

As the title implies the majority of the staff at Axiom are some of the smartest and funnest people I have ever met. Everyone bonds quicker when there is a hostile environment or a common enemy. In the case of Axiom, from day one you are treated like crap. The company has pseudo "full-time" terms, you only find out about this on the first day of work. Turns out you are not full-time but a contract employee. Which means no benefits, no EI, no stat holidays. Then you go to file your tax returns and voila, because you don't set your hours or dictate the work you are not considered a contractor by the government. So you owe taxes for the entire "full-time" duration and you got screwed out of the stat holidays that are owed by law. If a labour board ever checked out the practices at the company they would be appalled.

Cons

If shady terms of employment, lack of stat holidays and lengthy contract negotiations weren't enough there is the actual work. There is no work/life balance at Axiom. From the first week it's clear that staff work FREE overtime daily, and this behaviour is expected of everyone. If your manager is coming on weekends and working for free they push on you to do the same otherwise you are not a team player. Going out to lunch is viewed as a privilege that is soon pulled and frowned upon. Leaving on time is frowned upon, the CEO will physically stop you at the door and question why on earth your leaving at the end of the shift and not an hour later. Kids are seen as a lame excuse by others without children they spend countless evenings at Axiom. Why would anyone work in this environment??? You might ask yourself. It's Stockholm Syndrome! Upper management that has been there for years has endured mental abuse daily. They have been emotionally and physically decimated and rebuilt through the Axiom environment. Since for most staff this job is the first out of college they do not know any better. And the "hazing" just keeps getting passed to the new hires. The mentality is: if I had to suffer why should the new guys get it any different.
