Pros

A great example of doing finance differently

Cons

The company has great potential, but it is severely held back by poor upper and middle management. Team leadership often lacks key skills, is highly resistant to change, and feels threatened by anyone questioning the status quo. Career growth is rare or nonexistent, and employees who voice concerns face retaliation and gaslighting. Furthermore, HR fails to support staff and instead enables a toxic, unsafe work environment from the top down.

Pros

Good team of people, if you enjoy navigating difficult customer interactions this is the job for you

Cons

Customers are generally abusive and angry - mostly due to poor system design, policies and products. The understaffing doesnt help this. Management can be condescending and QA unnecessarily harsh and sometimes plain wrong. Training felt inadequate for the tasks that were expected of me. Forced overtime. Don't expect to be able to move on/up from the call centre in your first 2 or 3 years here.

Pros

The doers in the organisation tend to be easy to work with. Some leaders are good. Some are woeful. The regional centres have some great people. Who are ignore because of immaturity in leading remote teams.

Cons

Perception means more than delivery. Communication from leadership is generally poor and in some departments it is basically non existent. Hard to know where you’re going and what priorities are when department execs can’t articulate it. Most leaders fear accountability and negative repercussions. Collingwood office is an ivory tower. Good flexibility requires trust that the company is unwilling to give.
