All good reviews are fake for sure

Pros

Engineering team is alright. All other parts of the business who has touch points with CEO, literally none.

Cons

Most of the good reviews are fakes as mentioned below, created by either CEO or current employees. Review titled "These glassdoor reviews are kinda hilarious..." is a fake one right off the bat. The only person who was hired after the incident of group coercion incident did not write that review and there was no contractor/employee hired for long time afterwards. Well fabricated story by mixing some facts and fiction. Good reviews from April 11th, 2018 to April 16th, 2018 was probably a damage control after true nightmare review titled "Good reviews all from current employees aka CEO-mandated damage control. Former employees all agree. AVOID!" on April 11th, 2018. Can't agree more with every detail on this post. CEO and the company is super cheap, no leadership what so ever, manipulative, disingenuous and worst of all, just a nasty human being with no moral standards. Wanna know the truth? Do a quick search on CEO's linked in. She is 26 and cannot possibly have 4 years of full-time experience (from Lexus Canada to Microsoft). The truth is it was all internship/co-op positions, which means she never even had a full time job in her life before this company. She deliberately hid the year she graduated from school and the months on her experience to mislead intentionally. Still not convinced? Do a quick 5 minute research on LinkedIn or Angellist for past employees of Brizi and ask. You will soon see which reviews are fakes are which ones are real. Doing an interview soon or considering to take an offer from Brizi? Do your due diligence and contact former Brizi employees before you decide to accept an offer.

Sorry you had a bad experience with the team. I can tell you that the reviews are not fake, I've spoken to at least several people who have written reviews on the team in confidence. As someone who has spent time with the Brizi team, you would know that a culture of open honesty and trust are fundamental to our values, I find your review petty, and am simply disappointed. With regards to your comments about our CEO, it takes a lot of courage and an incredible amount of risk to build a successful company, nobody is perfect, but even in the time I've been here, everyone on the team including the founders have changed and grown a lot. Your comments feel like you have an axe to grind with the CEO, I strongly recommend you have a heart-to-heart and understand why you feel the way you do.

A Shame in My Career

Pros

You will not have a worse job than this

Cons

Fake positive reviews forced on current employees. The CEO reveals made-up info in her review. Nobody was told about a "takeover" when I was there - like ok lady your company is just that precious...just stop! They need to exploit the working visa because everyone local has already heard about the sinking ship they have. Glad I got out before it was too late. My worst nightmare. I needed so much meds and therapy to cope with the stress of this job. I was underpaid (synonym of Brizi) so could not afford anyone decent. Instead I had to reconnect with my abusive father after 20 years, to just get some emotional support. Yet all my coworkers are brainwashed into blaming me for the numerous failures they face - most of them exist today. Shows you my importance, but no appreciation. I am not surprised. They are wasting top talent there since the CEO is a micromanager with no idea about the industry. She is best 30 year old in marketing? Ask her slaves what they think of that. They had to explain their culture several times to me and it was all for show. All lies. Their employees all believe Brizi has recreated 1930s Germany. Don't be fooled. Everyone there thinks they are better than the rest. Sales team think product is crap and engineers are clueless there, and they ask the engineers with brain teasers to test their intelligence. Also engineers always moan about every new client they get. The incel culture is strong among them too. Toxic environment. Avoid at all costs. Work for them if you want depression. Night sweats. Panic attacks.

As much as we at Brizi always welcome feedback, writing reviews like this multiple times since we parted ways is not the best way to resolve your frustration. It’s clear that there was a source of friction when you were here that caused you a great deal of frustration, and it’s something we take seriously. Nobody at Brizi wants anyone to have panic attacks or go through depression. We would not be in business if the things you are claiming are actually true. We have openly asked to meet with a variety of team members to sit down with you and resolve your concerns, all without success. Again we encourage you to reach out to us if you believe there are any outstanding concerns. We will be replying to any of your future posts with this same message.

Pros

Location is good if you live downtown.

Cons

The leadership team is horrible, toxin culture. Don't go there unless you are desperate for a job. Work there will kill all of your passion. A task assigned to marketing/sales guy get pushed over to me the day before it due at 6 pm and wasn't told it's due the next day. Delivered the first draft on the due day morning, feedback was good and still wasn't told it's due that day. Sent the final version at noon, didn't get any feedback from the CEO after it's due. Says it's horrible, not what she wants at all. As a non-developer, always need to tell one of the co-founders how to code something because he couldn't figure it out. (Not writing code, just the logic.) Get everything done on time but still get complaints about I only work 9 to 5. They won't let go any mistake you made, pointed at you, while they only pay you as low as a Starbuck barista. If they say full time, it means they have a big project to do and will let you go after you finish it. If they say contract, they just want to get it for free like what's happening to the other review. If they say volunteer, they are just looking for slaves.

We were very surprised when we saw this review. It's a tight-knit family here, and we work hard to help each other succeed. We're sorry to hear you didn't feel fairly compensated and didn't mesh with the team culture. Everyone on the team has a unique skillset that makes them incredibly valuable, and our collaborative culture helps us overcome any individual challenges we may face. It's a large challenge for all of us to pick the best candidates, and if any problems arise on the job, we do our best to resolve things transparently, and fairly. We wish you the best for your future endeavours.
