Pros

Location is good if you live downtown.

Cons

The leadership team is horrible, toxin culture. Don't go there unless you are desperate for a job. Work there will kill all of your passion. A task assigned to marketing/sales guy get pushed over to me the day before it due at 6 pm and wasn't told it's due the next day. Delivered the first draft on the due day morning, feedback was good and still wasn't told it's due that day. Sent the final version at noon, didn't get any feedback from the CEO after it's due. Says it's horrible, not what she wants at all. As a non-developer, always need to tell one of the co-founders how to code something because he couldn't figure it out. (Not writing code, just the logic.) Get everything done on time but still get complaints about I only work 9 to 5. They won't let go any mistake you made, pointed at you, while they only pay you as low as a Starbuck barista. If they say full time, it means they have a big project to do and will let you go after you finish it. If they say contract, they just want to get it for free like what's happening to the other review. If they say volunteer, they are just looking for slaves.

We were very surprised when we saw this review. It's a tight-knit family here, and we work hard to help each other succeed. We're sorry to hear you didn't feel fairly compensated and didn't mesh with the team culture. Everyone on the team has a unique skillset that makes them incredibly valuable, and our collaborative culture helps us overcome any individual challenges we may face. It's a large challenge for all of us to pick the best candidates, and if any problems arise on the job, we do our best to resolve things transparently, and fairly. We wish you the best for your future endeavours.

Pros

Been able to learn more in my short time with Brizi, than I have in school and all of my other previous employers. Awesome people, family atmosphere. Everyone goes through the success and failure together and all members are aligned on the big vision. The product itself is incredible, and our job is to allow fans to capture their best moments and memories inside arenas and stadiums!

Cons

This isn't a 9-5 corporate job. You do impactful work and are held accountable. It's not easy work, but it's an incredible challenge. If you have the right attitude, these aren't cons!

Pros

Absolutely none. The treatment I received from Brizi was completely unethical.

Cons

I have been an independent digital visual designer for almost a decade. Brizi are by far the worst people I have ever dealt with. I have had my share of issues in such a long period of time (as is natural), but Brizi were beyond anything I have ever experienced. They simply ripped me off. We agreed on the job and set milestones. Money was held in Escrow for the first portion of the job. I spent a considerable amount of time getting the work up and running and sent it over to the person I was in dealing with, who then requested multiple edits to the work. Next morning I awoke to find the job cancelled with them saying they had decided to 'go with another contractor' and that they would not be paying me for my work thus far. No feedback, no nothing - just withdrew from escrow and told me I was gone. I later found out they had been courting multiple contractors (no doubt telling them they were all hired) and were essentially having them all create work and just 'shopping' for what they wanted (no doubt without paying for any of them). I'm still trying to get my money for the time I have spent, but it is proving difficult. Treading contractors and workers in this way is cruel, unfair and completely unethical. Brizi present themselves as a forward facing clean company but the way they use people is a disgrace. Shame on Brizi.

We're sorry to hear about your experience. We know how challenging it can be to work as a contractor for startups and appreciate your work. Brizi has a rigorous screening process, even for some contractors on important projects, and we do our best to make it clear upfront when anyone is doing a case or are working on a project. The employee you dealt with is no longer with the company, and we apologize on their behalf if we are at fault for the misunderstanding.
