Pros

- Collaborative workplace where each team can communicate with ease. - Tech-savvy business with an in-house tech team on hand. - Fast-paced business that is always evolving - There are some very impressive people within the company to learn from - A start-up company that boomed and expanded very quickly - Open to trying new things - Popular furniture and strong online presence (SEO/Website design etc). - Brosa continues to grow and dominate the online furniture industry!

Cons

- Focus heavily on making more money, with huge pressure put on targets. - Hard work and overtime goes unnoticed - Less focus on team morale and wellbeing. - Leaders do not lead by example. - Not open to career progression or internal movement. - Still consider themselves a "start-up" and a "family" but this is no longer the case. Brosa is an established, corporate workplace with a clear hierarchy in place. - Work/Life balance is poor. Overtime expected (not paid). - Excessive amount of "blackout periods" where staff cannot take a break during holidays (excluding senior managers). - Poor communication within the business. - Staff turnover has increased over the past year. - Don't hire people when they are needed, they hire when it's too late.

Pros

The people and team atmosphere in the early days was something really special. The environment felt like a big family working towards an exciting goal. You will learn how to work well under high pressured situations, along with gaining new skills very quickly.

Cons

Work-life balance is not something that is promoted very highly. You will work long hours and it is not uncommon to be receiving and sending emails to management late in the night or early in the morning from home. You would always find someone in the office until late at night. You definitely are not appreciated or valued as a team member. Working overtime or going above and beyond is expected and you will always be asked "why you didn't do more". Being in an environment where giving 110% is not good enough will always make you feel undervalued and can do harm to ones own confidence. I would highly recommend unless you have very thick skin, to opt for a work environment that nurtures and promotes you to be the best employee you can be, in a positive way.
