Poor Management, Nepotism, Low-Salaries, Minimal Opportunities for Advancement, Micro-Management, Blatant Racism. Long-time employees are running to seek new employment as this place consistently gets worse and worse. The threat of losing your job is always present. Mid-level management is afraid of losing their jobs, so they don't stand up for their staff--even when the staff is undoubtedly correct. This environment is one filled with gossip that would normally be seen as "office drama," but here, it will very likely lead to someone being terminated. Upper management are "thugs" that disguise themselves as supervisors/managers that use intimidation to keep staff in line.

Top 3 management people offer no leadership in health for the community or the agency. they are insular and vindictive to staff not part of their little cadre. pointless performance indicators rule along with backstabbing and punitive punishments. the management pays only lip service to their own failed performance indicators and their vision statements of health for the community. lack of human compassion by the top management and a lack of professionalism. top management people have not earned the respect of physicians and other health professionals in the agency which is okay because they offer no respect to their own health professionals. If you have strong leadership skills this would be the place to come to once the existing management is gone to help clean up their administrative mess. as a employee of a state agency there have been no raises in the past 6 years and state employees are easy targets of every politician running for office.
