I worked at Bupa full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Employee benefits 40 to 50% off health insurance.

    Cons

Even though it is a sales and service role. There is hardly any service given to customers. Bupa focuses on more upgrades, sales and revenue.

Very target based role where the manager puts a lot of pressure on you to make more sales.

I have been working at Bupa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible working opportunities
Genuinely care about mental health and well being
    Fairly flat structure

    Cons

Pay well being market rate, resting heavily on laurels of being “loved by employees”
Rapid growth in Aus, but company not equiped to handle - technology sucks
    Too many non-integrated businesses
A lot of uninspired, non-strategic leaders
    Constant talk of no money

    Advice to Management

Invest more in quality leaders, rather than a whole lot of overpaid middle managers

I have been working at Bupa full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - SUPER Relaxed culture
    - Nice office view

    Cons

    - No work the majority of the time
    - Team can be slightly sexist (probably unintentionally) as it is majority men

I have been working at Bupa full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Work-life balance.
Management team supports employees very well, there're other team assistants to help out.

    Cons

Process is messy, no-one knows who is working on what precisely.
A culture of "not-my-responsibility" was somehow very strongly developed.

    Advice to Management

Need to endorse more "risk" taking responsibility. Everyone is afraid of the "unknown" so none would take on the jobs which could have a slight risk.

I worked at Bupa full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible working options.
If you get in with the right people you have lots of career, project and development opportunities.

    Cons

Poor culture across the business and favoritism is rife.
Lack of planning and consistency in projects and strategies.
Little collaboration across divisions, all have their own ways of working, very inconsistent.

    Advice to Management

Fix the culture and start working as one organization.

I have been working at Bupa full-time

    Pros

Humble people, new leaders appointed in last two years are great to work with

    Cons

Bupa Health Insurance team has lost vision. They waste so much money in non-profitable projects and people.

Bupa also likes to retain even under performing staff for a really long time.

People who have been in Bupa for more than 10 years MUST move on now. They are like rust to the company.

    Advice to Management

Stop wasting money on projects that don't give benefits in 1 year. This will allow increasing less premiums.

    Innovate something in Health Insurance.

    Shake-up the middle management.
