Pros

If you are currently unemployed, might be an opportunity to collect a paycheck until you find a better job. No drug testing.

Cons

CIM Group just laid off several long time employees with no notice, from Associate through Senior Vice President. One senior person got fired by phone while on a family vacation in Europe. CIM employees are scared. Don't believe the fake positive reviews.

Pros

Snacks and benefits are good.

Cons

Where to begin... First, HR continues to post fake positive reviews to boost their Glassdoor rating. They have poor ethics, if any. Had over 6 managers in the two years I was there (3 fired, 1 quit, 2 new managers). The best season and smoothest time at CIM was in between managers. There was no one there to screw things up. There is no purpose in this company except to screw the other guy and make the company as much money as possible. All the while, you are their scapegoat when things hit the fan. People don't retire here. They quiet, get fired or slowly die. It is cheaper to fire you than to promote you. This company is completely upside down in their logic.

Pros

1. Market pay (means mediocre) 2. Many nice and talented people (who eventually leave) 3. Free high quality snacks and drinks (only at HQ and Phoenix) 4. Very good IT equipment (up-to-date laptop, software, etc) 5. Medical insurance premium is pretty good (good for single, have become better for family) 6. Recent introduction of Unlimited PTO (although this was actually bad for many existing employees; read in Cons)

Cons

SMOKE, AND MIRRORS. 1. Empty promises everywhere 2. Slow and unreliable remote internet access (VPN) 3. Terrible profits and returns 4. Many clueless individuals at the top upper management who have no idea or/and don't care what their departments' employees do/don't or accomplish 5. Aggressive, almost unethical labor allocation and reimbursement (no wonder returns are even worse) 6. Favoritism; almost nepotism 7. Restructuring almost every year 8. Always markets approachability of top upper management. In reality, they always try to avoid you (Please, those "Latte with a Leader" sessions do NOT count) 9. 5-year vesting period for 401k matching (20% after every year); absolute joke 10. Ignorance, almost advocacy of understaffing situations 11. Recent introduction of Unlimited PTO: Many employees have worked very hard and especially harder throughout the pandemic, and rightfully accrued PTO balances. Suddenly, Unlimited PTO is introduced and all employees are forced to use and deplete their hard earned legacy PTO before becoming able to use Unlimited PTO. Only idiots wouldn't understand that this was done explicitly to write off and decrease their payroll liability
