Pros

Cool robotics's mixed with great 3rd wave coffee. Great team of people, very dedicated.

Cons

Sketchy, Sketchy, Sketchy. Extremely unprofessional management and ran with a disregard for regulations, reputation and general happiness.

Pros

-truthfully, most of being a product specialist requires being able to stand there like a robot (the irony) to answer customer inquiries so it doesn't require too much brain power once you get more comfortable with the knowledge -the perks such as trying new specialty coffees are nice, left over pastries -a front facing role, if you like chatting with customers in bustling sf -there are some great people who work here!

Cons

-as mentioned earlier, this is not a thought provoking role, so eventually it drains you more than it excites. you may become a shell of a person -this is really a retail, customer service heavy role requiring manual power to lift, transport and move coffees, milks as well as the occasional problems associated with the robot, wifi problems, or the mobile application -change seems to happen slowly, though it does eventually, but it feels at times that suggestions from product specialists aren't heard

Pros

Overall here is a pretty high average in the caliber of mid/low level employees across departments. Their marketing person, director of hardware, industrial designer and one of their software automation people were extremely effective and a joy for me to work with. Many other of the office and field employees were impressive and kind people as well, overall I felt fortunate of who my coworkers were.

Cons

Any noteworthy 'con' relates to how profoundly unethically the CEO thought it was ok to behave. I have an extensive list of anecdotes of the CEO acting inappropriate or vicious so I'll just list the most egregious: -My stock options were denied despite having them tripled over the course of my employment because of my consistent high performance. -CEO called me 8 times in a 2 minute stretch at 7:30pm on a day I was home sick then lied by telling me someone was in danger in an effort to get me to call back (this really happened and I was obviously livid) -At least 2 other former employees haven't had their stock options honored despite one of them having left the company 8 months ago and still getting the run-around -CEO regularly belittles employees if he doesn't agree with their design decisions. I saw many versions of this but it would usually go something like: "Why did you think that was good?? Its really bad, did you even try??" etc.
