      Pros

      Carroll County was a great school system to work in. The teachers and principals are great to work with.

      Cons

      If you have any career ambitions beyond the classroom, you have to make sure you are known to the superintendent. Even for AP positions, the superintendent makes the decisions. It is a small district that stills works on the good ole boy system.

      Well organized, trained, and equipped system with caseloads around 15 students, and good support.

      Cons

      Big system with lots of rules and regulations, which are difficult to stay current with, and exacting in form and structure of reports.

      Pros

      Progressive educational system which is concerned with the well-being of all students. The school board is willing to listen to the concerns of educators and parents.

      Cons

      Carroll County School Board has become a good ole boy with friends of upper management being given administrative jobs instead of the best qualified people. The county supplement for teachers should be increased.
