Pros

I loved the work I did. I love helping people and I felt like I was really making a difference.

Cons

The culture was not great. Lots of change and the corporate areas were driving efficiencies on the front line while they got bigger. The organisation has gone steadily down hill over the past 3 years to the point that it seems to be continually losing money. Its all the CEO talks about on the few staff forums she holds. Lots of staff exits leading to a great deal of uncertainty.

Pros

Everyone who works in client-facing roles and/or has appropriate qualifications are fantastic. On the large part, the staff at CCV are kind, compassionate and competent. I am hopeful that with greater governance, CCV will improve.

Cons

I had expected greater integrity transitioning into a not for profit organisation. Unfortunately, my management was erratic, dictatorial and oftentimes absent. The department I was in promoted opaque reporting to reduce accountability. People and Culture (HR) was weaponised at the expense of best practice and staff wellbeing. And a siloed and hierarchical culture was employed to control personal reputation/s.
