Pros

Team Managed Time off PTO (only if your colleagues didn't take off yet). 401k matching up to a percentage. Fully remote option. Tech-support and lower-level employees very down to earth. Monthly company wide meetings. Company-wide slack channels, many to choose from. E-Learning availability.

Cons

No exit interview, couldn't express anything before leaving. Expectation to work beyond the work hours of 9-5 with no overtime unless hourly employee. Lack of promotion opportunities depending on your job title. In order to move up, I would have needed to change departments. Weekly report cards of what you did, these seem to be more important than your actual tasks. Job title and duties constantly change, no review or increase in pay regardless of the increase in duties. Some supervisors have little supervisory experience. Instead of fixing internal product issues, you're expected to exaggerate to customers regarding product logistics. Upper management doesn't even know all of the products they have in this company/fully understand them. Ageism. Cliques. Annual bonus and raise are capped at 5% of your income, difficult to move up if you're lower on the salary end. If you make your weekly and bi-annual reviews look fancy, you'll get the raise. If you don't, you won't. To summarize, very money hungry and capitalist environment that made it a negative experience for me, and my some of my previous co-workers. \

Pros

The lower level workers and some middle managers are very nice and easy and work with.

Cons

Getting paid market value is like pulling teeth. Be happy with whatever you get hired at. The executive level only wants to hear you say yes. If you speak honestly about any negative reality, you will be labeled as trouble. Don't believe any talk about Certus being people first. Employees are told team managed time off was for them. It was actually to save money since they don't need to pay out time off amounts for employees in states that require it. Managers are encouraged to watch time off amounts. Don't believe any diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) talk. When I worked there, there was no review process or measurable goals. In IT, DEI did not exist. Racial diversity isn't seen on the executive level. HR is present to help the company. There was no consequence for a male employee sending unwanted messages to a female employee. He received a promotion a few months later. The managers do something called a talent review where the actual employee is not involved. So if your manager doesn't like you, this is where they can say whatever they want and not be challenged. You will never see this rating and management keeps this a secret. All raises and bonuses are based on that. Your performance review is just for show. Get everything in writing so there is proof. In IT, the VP has his favorites. If you get on his bad side, you may not be working there much longer. Work life balance depends on your team.

Pros

The only good Thing about this company happened when I left.

Cons

Too many to name. Wouldn’t pay commission owed. Would figure out every possible way to skate out if paying you what you earned by burying your sales numbers in different buckets of the comp plan that continently shows lower performance, lower payout. Constant micromanagement. They offer unlimited PTO bc u never actually get a day off. Your manager will be contacting you anytime they feel like it. Constant one on ones, non productive meetings and bait and switch.
