ClearGov is the epitome of nepotism.

Pros

WFH, fair pay, good health benefits, transparency, exciting daily standups where you provide a report in front of the entire company- everyone is required. Some folks are expected to deliver detailed reports while others share they are checking emails for the day.

Cons

Here is the truth about this company, the only way to thrive is if you are related or close friends with someone in the CG inner circle. You can look forward to being micromanaged with no clear directive or vision. Employee turnover is high for outsiders who are put in impossible situations and are expected to save the day to make upper management look good. The close-knit, empathetic company culture is very deceptive.

Hitting Speed Bumps

Pros

The mission for this company is great and the hiring process goes quickly. They do a good job at letting you know quickly if you're the right fit for the team or not the job for you. The people overall are nice and friendly.

Cons

The company has definitely hit a big speed bump in their growth. Hired too many people too fast with not enough experience or sales coming through the door to manage it. Managers really don't have any type of onboarding training, kind of a sink or swim environment, which is typical for a start-up. The company culture took a large dip and it's unfortunately not the same company I started to work for.

Pros

People were decent before the merger. Meet ups were okay because the hotels were nice and everything was paid for.

Cons

They are deleting negatives reviews so watch for that. When I first started working for the company they had a 4.4 rating on glassdoor, that was before the merger. The current CEO is a very strange guy, he plays like he is a "super cool" and relaxed CEO but he is not. He is a big baby when it comes to tech issues and does not seem to know what he is doing. Everyone just seems to be winging it on the C suite level. My role had no upward mobility and my manager was very controlling with any type of movement within the company at all. The company was so much better before the merger and the fact that many people working for the company are from our competitors is truly interesting. ClearGov was proud of being a remote work environment and now all positions are becoming hybrid, offices are popping up around the USA. Managers are stressed out and everyone is looking at the next person on what to do.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We recognize that periods of significant change can create uncertainty and that not every employee will experience that transition in the same way. The merger brought new opportunities, new challenges, and changes to how we operate as an organization. While we respect your perspective, our experience today includes many employees who are building meaningful careers, taking on new responsibilities, and helping shape the future of the company. We continue to invest in leadership, career development, and creating an environment where employees can grow and contribute. We also want to clarify that ClearGov does not remove reviews based on sentiment, whether positive or negative. We believe open feedback is important and welcome a diversity of viewpoints. We appreciate your contributions to the company and wish you the best moving forward.
