Pros

The members are wonderful. I really enjoyed getting to know each and every one of them.

Cons

This was my resignation letter.... "I’m writing to inform you that I resign, effective immediately. Though I believe in Co-Optim and the business model, I do not believe in the way employees are treated and no longer want to be part of a culture that is centered around disrespect. It is a completely toxic and abusive environment. I was misled about what the job would entail – rather than marketing Co-Optim, most of my day is spent doing administrative/receptionist tasks – booking meetings, calling in lunch reservations, making coffee, refilling water, grocery shopping, printing, scanning, watering plants, etc. I have asked multiple times if a receptionist could be hired and wasn’t even given a conversation. Somehow, [another former employee] and I have still managed to double membership since we've started and I have yet to hear a positive thing about it. I have been micromanaged to the point that my productivity, creativity, and sanity have suffered. I know my worth and refuse to be treated with this kind of disrespect. I would go on about other issues I see within this company and culture, but like input I’ve offered previously, I doubt it will be received. Inventory has been ordered, my keys have been returned, and I’ve paused the Google Ads so [someone else] can manage them moving forward. P.S. It’s offensive and incredibly sexist to make women wear heels every day. I never dreamed that I would leave a job without a two-week notice, but the lack of respect I have been shown by this company drives me to not care." ALSO, I was not paid my final two weeks of salary until I wrote this here glassdoor review. The only reason they paid me and my colleague is because I agreed to remove it.

Pros

In my 2-person office, I had a fabulous co-worker. She was super friendly and a great help in overall a broken company culture.

Cons

There is an extremely high turnover rate due to management's inability to understand how to even begin mentoring, appreciating staff & developing a positive corporate culture. This severely limited trust within rank and file staff. The boss and his number one assistant are highly reactive, resulting in an inability to see the long term potential of employees. This is undoubtedly a major contributor to their high turnover rate.
