RecommendsNeutral OutlookI have been working at Coles Express part-time for less than a year
Pros
Other staff and management are welcoming and helpful most of the time, there is ample access to training materials and help from colleagues, with constant re-training and reminders of specific policies that are required. Work is almost constantly available when wanted, with almost constant offers for extra work.
Cons
It can be uneccesarily stressful at times from certain management elements, also it is retail convenience, as is such, customers can be more often than not quite abusive. Along with this for a company that specifies safety as first, there are a number of sites, that especially when arriving for or leaving from late night or early morning shifts can have unsafe parking and other areas that lack proper lighting and security cameras.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookI worked at Coles Express part-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Friendly coworkers to work with and supportive store managers
Cons
The number of working hours per store have been drastically cut over the last year, allowing the upper management to provide good savings figures to their management. Upper (area, state) management does not know any other way to produce extra money, making it harder for everyone, while their figures are good.
