Pros
-opportunity to take on responsibilities and tasks that are not usually given to junior designers -decent benefits package -aware of the need for work-life balance
Cons
-principles do not know how to manage projects or communicate/delegate tasks effectively -principles do not take personal responsibility for project management and consistently place blame on others -principles are controlling and particular with poor communication of expectations -non-existent onboarding/training process -unsupportive working environment (co-workers are fantastic, principles are challenging to work with/for) -a culture of feedback/critique that is overly negative, unhelpful and unsupportive -it is not a collaborative design studio culture -do not have technical/software expertise or systems in place to ensure consistent or quality drawings -high employee dissatisfaction and turnover rate -rigid office-only work policy, not at all open to remote flexibility
