Pros
Get to pretty much stay out of DC?
Cons
Where to start.... The owner is callous, rude, demeaning, belittles, aggressive, and a bully. He will use your job as leverage to get you to do things and regularly threaten you with it. He acts like an angry rich kid who was just told he couldn't have a new Mercedes for his sweet 16 birthday... The people who work under him are "Yes men" because its just easier than arguing with him. His way or the highway. Average superintendents last about a year and the PM's last about the same. There are 6 or 7 people who have been at the company longer than 2 years and 2 of them are the owner and his wife. The culture is toxic and the entire office staff has a little celebration whenever the owner goes on one of his many vacations. People generally only get 1 week of PTO and 1 week of sick leave. You can only use the sick leave with a doctors note. No 401K, a small and relatively terrible retirement plan that you're only eligible for after you've been there a year, but by that point you're looking to leave anyways. They will pay all of your health insurance, but it isn't very good and it only covers you. Additional insurance can be purchased for your wife and kids, but again its not very good. The owner and the environment will likely never change at Crisak until the owner kicks the bucket I guess. Save yourself the head ache and the problem of trying to answer "Why are you leaving Crisak" at your next interview... Just move on and find something else.
