Pros

There is a major emphasis on workplace culture, which can be a good thing. Those who enjoy after-hours socializing will appreciate the many opportunities to do so. Heavy workloads and constant project rotation serve as good job security. Coworkers on or below your level will be invaluable, as they all tend to band together in solidarity, and will be your greatest resource for emotional support and to navigate unforeseen challenges to complete a project. Everyone at your level has your best interests in mind. Managers have a surprisingly refreshing understanding of health needs. If you need a sick day or have a child feeling under the weather, your supervisor will understand and encourage you to work from home or take the day off.

Cons

The company seems to be stuck in the 90s with an emphasis on traditional media and advertising at the cost of missed opportunities for updated online advertisements for its clients. They've also got in the habit of using the same voice and word choice regardless of client, which isn't always best for the product or industry type. Questioning this will only get your points brushed aside to appease the egos of the higher-ups, who established the brand's voice in the 80s and have never worked anywhere else in their lives. Despite this, the same people in leadership positions will disregard your prior experience and assume it couldn't possibly translate to improvements to the way they operate. In other words, they don't know what they don't know. Managers and directors aren't afraid to demand last-minute changes or projects, and the more technical your position is, the less likely it is that your manager will know how to do your job. This makes it impossible for those in senior positions to have an adequate idea of how long tasks take. As a consequence, many managers compensate for this lack of technical experience by micromanaging their employees, going as far as to include commentary on personalities and learning types in employee reviews. Most who have left have said the same thing - this is a surprisingly toxic work environment that will strain your mental health and multiply your stress levels with very little professional growth to show for it. Concerns about a client's overall ad spend and social reach will fall on deaf ears, and CW's QA process severely drives up the cost of any project. Clients beware - there are many more online-savvy marketing companies out there, all of which will cost you a fraction of what you could end up paying Crowley Webb. If you want to limit your social engagements with the company, good luck. It'll just look like you aren't a team player. Don't drink? Then you won't enjoy socializing outside of work hours.

Pros

You get a certain number of hours per week to work on a creative project of your choice. Which is nice. The company is involved in a lot of local initiatives and tries to make a positive contribution to the community. If bar culture is your thing and you're looking to re-live some of your high school years, you'll love it here. Social events are all centered around drinking which is a pro or a con depending on what you like. In exchange for the low pay you get to work in a cool building where they often give you free snacks and drinks.

Cons

Very low pay considering the industry. Basic benefits, nothing above and beyond. Your professional growth here will not be based on how well you do your job. It will depend on how social you are and how friendly you can get with a select few of the upper management. Your attendance at after-hours social events will be brought up as talking point during annual reviews. it is super cliquey, as other reviews say, and it really feels like a popularity contest most days. Upper management can basically do no wrong and have egos that reflect that. Management doesn't seem to understand what actually goes into most jobs and how long things take and expect employees to handle unrealistic workloads.

Pros

Very talented creative agency. They had a very buttoned up process. Numerous talented individuals who did some great work for clients. The final product was more often than not very creative. This is if the client allowed the agency to shine.

Cons

All projects moved through an antiquated traffic system which slowed project turn around and costed the client unnecessary hours. Some creatives were more challenging to work with than others. Change was challenging to institute. Digital and interactive departments lacked expertise and were often over looked for more traditional mediums.
